Kyoto Station is made up of three levels.
Kyoto Station Building is a large facility that stretches from two basement floors to 15 floors above ground, but to make it easier to understand the whole, it’s simple to divide it into the following three levels:
- 🟦 Upper floors (2nd floor and above): Shinkansen platform, Kintetsu ticket gates, JR West Exit, Isetan, Hotel Granvia, etc.
- ⬜ Middle floor (1st floor): JR conventional line platform, JR line central ticket gate, city bus and taxi stand, etc.
- 🟫Basement floor (1st floor to B2 floor): 1st floor Miyakomichi, subway ticket gates, Porta, underground free passage, Avanti basement, etc.
